Campfire Nachos

Who doesn’t love a good nacho? Bonus. It’s cooked over a fire. Campfire Nachos is one of my favorite go-to meals. Easy to make and easy to customize.

What You’ll Need

  • Bag of tortilla chips
  • 1 can black beans, stirred
  • Pre-cooked shredded chicken or pre-cooked ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican-style cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers, poblano peppers or jalapeno peppers
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Any additional favorite nacho toppings (lettuce, tomatoes & olives are mine)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  • Two 10-inch disposable aluminum dish
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil

What To Do

Fire pit, hammock, and tent at Sleeper State Park
  1. Spread tortilla chips in the aluminum dish and top with black, pre-cooked meat, diced peppers, and shredded cheese.
  2. Cover the aluminum dish with foil and place above the coals.
  3. Cook for about ten to fifteen minutes until everything is hot and the cheese is melted.
  4. Add additional nacho toppings salsa, and sour cream. Enjoy.
