Gear Review: XOSKIN Shirts, Sleeves, & Socks

From the first time I learned about XOSKIN, I was curious to try it out. It sounded too good to be true. Apparel that mimicked skin. I’ve heard these claims before and have been disappointed. But after purchasing three different XOSKIN items, I have to say, I’m sold.

Compression Leg Sleeves

My first XOSKIN purchase was compression leg sleeves. These sleeves come in three colors (black night, pink power, and tweety neon) and two sizes. I ordered the Black Night in a Size 1.

The Specs

  • Made of 65% RAPIDriCOPPER, 20% Nylon, and 15% Elastane
  • Graduated compression fit
  • Designed for the calf

What I LIke

After wearing these for a few months, I’m impressed with how they appear like new still.

They are very comfortable with no rubbing or irritation.

They have fantastic moisture-wicking properties. They dry very quickly and don’t hold sweat from runs in the warmer months.

They don’t fall down or roll down.

What I Don’t Like

There hasn’t been anything I haven’t liked about these compression sleeves.

XOTOES Anklets Socks

XOTOES with XOSKIN Leg Sleeves

I received a free pair of XOTOES when I ordered my compression leg sleeves. I immediately tossed them aside. There was no way I would enjoy wearing toe socks. I was wrong. These have quickly become one of my favorite pairs of socks.

The Specs

  • Multiple Colors
  • 3 Size Options
  • 65% RAPIDriCOPPER, 20% Nylon, 15% Elastane
  • Preshrunk

What I Like

They are lightweight. I barely feel like I’m wearing them.

The fabric conforms to my feet. It feels very natural rather than abrasive between my toes.

My feet stay dry in these socks, no matter how muddy or wet the trail is.

So far, I haven’t experienced any hot spots in these socks.

What I Don’t Like

The standard XOTOES aren’t warm enough for my winter runs. Temperatures in the low thirties and below, I have to wear a different sock. XOSKIN has released a wool version of the sock but I haven’t tried it yet.

2.0 Form Fit Shirt Long Sleeve

The final item I’ve tried is their long sleeve shirt. This shirt just looks cool. It comes in multiple colors and functions as both a base layer in cold weather or a single layer in hot weather. I bought it with the intention of using it as a base layer during winter but am looking forward to testing it out in the summer months.

The Specs

  • Seamless XOSKIN technology
  • Athletic Fit

What I Like

The shirt moves with me, just like a second skin.

It is very breathable.

It performs great as a base layer. It helps keep my skin dry by wicking any sweat away.

I don’t over heat while wearing it.

What I Don’t LIke

The sleeves fall shorter than I like. A larger size may fix this issue.

It isn’t as warm of a base layer as others I have tried. The breathability factor is great if I’m wearing a long sleeve shirt over it but if I’m wearing it under a t-shirt, my arms get cold when it is breezy.

XOSKIN Overall

XOSKIN brings a lot of interesting materials to the field of performance apparel. Their unique RAPIDriCOPPER material is fantastic and I’m incredibly impressed with it.

XOSKIN has shown me what it means when to have your gear working for you. Each and every item has a job and it does it so well.
