Running for Cancer at the MSU Relay Turkey Trot

Location: East Lansing, Michigan

Raising funds for cancer and running? Sign me up! The MSU Relay Turkey Trot 5K, hosted at Michigan State University, was a last minute addition to my fall race roster. It was an easy race for a great cause.

I was very familiar with the course. It was similar to the Woofer Walk 5K I ran this past May but I also frequently train here when I’m looking for pavement runs. Most of the course followed along the river and was flat with a few small hills. Participants will race by the Botanic Gardens, Beaumont Tower, and Sparty.

Registration cost included a t-shirt. Participants could also purchase Luminaria bags to remember those who have fought cancer or those who are still fighting.
