What better way to kick off the fall season than by renting a cozy cabin on the shoreline of Lake Huron? Honestly, I can’t think of anything better. Forget the pumpkin spice lattes and enjoy a real autumn experience.

Tucked away on the very tip of Michigan’s lower peninsula, the iconic Mill Creek Campground is located just outside of Mackinaw City. This location gives you not only stunning views of Lake Huron and the Mackinaw Bridge, but is also a prime spot to plan out your fall adventures.
A Family Tradition on the Tip of the Mitten
For as long as I can remember, my family has camped at Mill Creek Campground. From tents to cabin rentals, we did it all. We would spend our time sitting around the campfire, watching sunsets over the water, exploring Mackinac Island, and of course, eating all the delicious fudge.
Now it is our home base for a fun weekend of fall adventure.
Our Stay in the Bridgeview Cabin

This trip, we stayed in a Bridgeview Cabin with a bathroom. These lakefront cabins offer spectacular views of the Mackinac Bridge right from the porch.
Our cabin comfortably slept six, with the main area having a queen bed and a separate room that housed bunk beds.
Additional amenities included:
- Refrigerator
- Sink
- Microwave
- Cubboard storage
- Large dining table
- Heat
