A Weekend Cabin Rental at Traverse City’s KOA

Location: Buckley, Michigan

Despite toting the name KOA, the Traverse City’s KOA is a cozy little campground, nestled 15 minutes south of Traverse City.

With 119 sites, camping cabins, deluxe cabins, and vacation rentals, the Traverse City KOA offers a diverse option of camping experiences.

We rented one of the camping cabins for our weekend excursion. The cabin was small, clean, and simple. It slept 4 people and had 1 full bed and 1 set of bunk beds.

Cable TV and WiFi were also available in the cabin. Based on our past experience with renting cabins, we wrongly assumed that a small refrigerator would also be available. Some of the larger cabins do offer kitchens. Like with most campground rentals, guests need to bring their own linens.

The Traverse City KOA even sports a dog agility course for your 4 pawed companion.

The campground itself offers quite a bit to guests. A miniature golf course, basketball court, volleyball court, jumping pillow, and swimming pool. We didn’t use any of these facilities but they looked well maintain.
