Round Lake Campground – Serenity in Michigan’s L.P.

Pigeon River State Forest is without a doubt, our favorite place to camp and hike in Michigan’s lower peninsula. Time and time again, we have shared its beauty with people who love being in the outdoors.

One of five campgrounds in Pigeon River State Forest, Round Lake Campground is by far a favorite. Tucked away in the tall Red Pines along the shoreline of Round Lake.

The campground consists of only 10 rustic sites for tents and is first-come, first-serve. It offers fantastic sunsets over the lake, vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and potable water from a well hand pump.

Additional nearby activities include fishing on Pigeon River, hiking, hunting, and mountain biking.

Because Pigeon River is state land, a recreational passport is required in addition to the $15 per night fee.

Round Lake

Round Lake Campground is magical. From the sunsets to the elk herds that wander through, it is an outdoor haven for any enthusiast.
