UPDATED: Top 15 Favorite Michigan Waterfalls

It’s been nearly two years since we compiled our list of our favorite Michigan Waterfalls. While we still have not seen all 272, we have crossed a dozen or so more off of our list and thought it was about time we update our list.

These are our top 15 favorite Michigan Waterfalls, occurring in no particular order.

Access: Moderate. Less than a mile hike but there is a very steep hill.

Access: Easy, except for the final drop.

West Branch Yellow Dog River Falls

Number of Drops: 4
Estimated Height: At least 30 feet
Water Source: West Branch Yellow Dog River
Location: McCormick Wilderness Area
Access: Moderate. An easy, about one mile hike through McCormick Wilderness. However, there are no signs or markings for trails in this area so be sure to bring a GPS system and a compass.

Location: Alberta
Access: Easy. Less than a mile easy hike to the waterfall. Moderate beyond the waterfall to the gorge area.
