Munising is becoming one popular town. Not only does it have the quaint, small town appeal, but it is also located next to some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Michigan; Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore.
Aside from these extremely impressive rock formations, Munising also has some pretty fantastic waterfalls that are also easy to access. Munising Falls is one of the easiest. Located at the visitor center on Sand Point road, just outside of town, this waterfall is merely a short, paved walk.
There are three viewing points. Two require climbing stairs. The main landing requires no climbing.
In the spring time, wildflowers bloom. In autumn, the trees turn vibrant colors. In winter, it freezes into a massive icicle. It’s picturesque, no matter the season.
