Kingston Lake State Forest Campground

Kingston Lake State Forest Campground is one of the many campgrounds in the area of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The area offers a lot of beauty and many things to do.

Kingston Lake offers 16 rustic campsites that are fairly isolated. The sites are first come, first serve. There are vault toilets and a hand pump available for water. Dogs are welcomed, which is great because we brought our 7 month old beagle, Brisco, on his first camping trip!

Hiking

Not only is Kingston Lake Campground nestled in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, but it also has access to the Fox River Trail. This trail stretches for 27.5 miles and runs right through the campground.

Wildlife

Wildlife is abundant here. My personal favorite was a pair of beavers that we saw swimming around the lake.
