The Great Outdoors: Pigeon River State Forest

Pigeon River State Forest is my favourite place to camp in the Lower Peninsula. It is rustic, has amazing wildlife and offers a variety of activities. It is the largest state forest in Michigan at nearly 100,000 acres. It is the home to the largest elk herd east of the Mississippi. But don’t expect to see elk all over, they are shy and hard to find. On this trip to Pigeon River, we invited a couple of our close friends, Brittany and Mike, to join us and share in our adventure. We had a blast!

Wonders Never Cease – The Grand Teton National Park

See the rugged snow-covered peaks stretching up towards the heavens above. The lake valleys that reflect those mountains and are surrounded with wildflowers in the spring. Imagine the wildlife; elk, bear, moose and wolves. The crisp morning air, fresh and energizing.  The Grand Teton Mountain range is exactly that. I haven’t seen many mountains in my life but so far I have yet to find any that are more majestic and magical than these.
