Lake Michigan may hold the name “the sunset coast” but the sunsets on Lake Superior are absolutely magical. You never know what you’re going to get but you don’t be disappointed.

4. Cliff Faces and Rock Formations

The Pictured Rocks are one of the most beautiful coastlines I have ever experienced. But it doesn’t stop there. From the Porcupine Mountains to Pictured Rocks, Lake Superior has some of the coolest, most unique, and stunning rock formations.

5. Cleanest

Out of all the Great Lakes, Lake Superior has been rated the cleanest and clearest. Twenty percent of the world’s fresh water can be found in the Great Lakes and half of that is stored in Lake Superior alone.
